Winter wonderland

Winter is here!! Somehow  I'm really exited, but then on the other hand I've seen this so many times that a few years without it wouldn't have made a difference.  Meaning, I didn't yet miss it, but it's kind of cool.... and COLD.

Fresh snow and foot prints... Looks so lovely, there is life!!

More snow! Huge snowflakes falling from the sky. Traffic was a chaos and kids loved it!!

Me, on the way to work with my winter gear. No dresses here  (and I loved dresses!!!!) Even Laura said that she wants to go back to Australia, so she can wear dresses outside every day LOL

Luckily we got our car in a garage with a post to plug the car in to warm it up for the morning. They got timers so that it will be warm and can be stared in the morning since sometimes when there is really cold, you can't start you car... even cars freeze!

Now that it's been freezing for several days in a row we finally have ICE!!!! Kids are skating and in the lack of skates shoes will do just nicely! They love sliding and falling, testing their balance =)

Ok, my running route looks a tad bit different.... notice the difference LOL Anyways we've been on and off sick lately with swine or what ever flu so no running for me for a while. Now I could go, but somehow just can't imagine running in -10 degrees. I think I'll switch to swimming for a few months now.... inside swimming I mean

More wintery hobbies, making snow angels!!

Sunset on our beach (300 meters from our house). And time is about 3pm here.

Yes, we are officially soon one more experience richer... the shortest day of the year is here in just a few days!!!

I'm thinking positively here guys!! It can only get brighter!!

In all this cold weather, recently I have been really distressed. Seems like my body can not cope this cold anymore as it used to. Cold feels so cold that even the kids are crying and complaining. Luka's skin is really bad, it's cracking, red and sore. Been putting loads of cream on him, but it doesn't seem to help.

My face, hands and legs are hurting from the dryness of the air. I try to put cream, but still got red spots around my face all the time. Just wasn't prepared for it to hit this hard all the being sick, weather and cultural things. I suppose it's easier to emigrate than to return.
