Finally home
Finally we had our stuff back after sailing for almost 2 months. Imagine fitting everything you own in a box. Tough job it was but we managed to do it... once again. Luckily nothing from the inside was broken....
(See Sinikka all the drawings Matthew made are now in Finland!)

But the box itself had fallen apart from the front end, but luckily nothing had fallen out. We didn't realize we should've checked the nails on the sides too not just the top!

Kids had an early Christmas and have enjoyed tremendously having their toys back.
I have enjoyed most getting this iMac back and that it arrived safely and works just fine. The other thing I have missed is my Nespresso machine and it too is working just fine. Never mind papers and books as long as you got coffee and computer right
Anyway now we finally feel like home and even though I thought that it doesn't really matter if you send your stuff over or not, but it does. Having something familiar around is so lovely.
I've enjoyed working really a lot. We have a great team, full of nut cases that is, but in a good way
I have work tasks that I enjoy and feel like I have some challenge in them. Every day life has sorted out and I've managed to fit all the chores, kids hobbies and parents hobbies into our weekly calendar. Yes, calendar. I've put all of them in Outlook calendar at work synching with my phone so that I know where I should be and when LOL We also have the same calendar on our fridge door. Can't wait for Luka to grow up... Where on earth can we fit his hobbies!!
For me hobbies includes singing and sports (and my virtual life, but you can't speak out loud about that now can you ;D Some might think I'm addicted or something LOL). I was sick in the beginning when we arrived and had a really bad cough so couldn't dream of running. Luckily now I've been fine so started running again and joined the gym. They have lovely Salsa classes which is really good coordination exercise to me since I have long legs and arms =))
What I most love is singing and I'm glad that I am able to continue that now too. At some point I will dig the keyboard under the pile of paper and clothes and start practicing playing too. I am totally crap at that, but the more you study the more you know ey?
To me life couldn't be better. I have all I want to keep my nerves calm and energy high. Kids are behaving good and we have some weekly routines and they have heaps of friends around in this block.Hubby seems happy as long I let him go to summer cottage to enjoy the silence every now and then and fill his need to build something and he gets to go and play floor ball and soccer. He also enjoys his work here since it has a lot of variety and good atmosphere.

Last but not the least a summer picture of the centre of Helsinki although we are heading to winter already and we do need to wear a little more clothes already. I love it that it is a little cooler finally and have been shopping second hand lovely clothes for the winter. Finland is so b...#$%^&*...y expensive that won't buy them new. It just makes no sense plus I've found such lovely good brand clothes from there for one fourth the price!
"Home is where the heart is, the funny part is, my heart's been right here all along...." - No more blues - Carlos Antonio Jobim (check Idea of North's version -Ozzie acapella group- of this. It's just fabulous!!!!)
ps. I do miss Australia... miss you all guys, miss the sunshine... miss the no worries... miss the beaches... miss bodyboarding LOL

Saapuipa teidän aarrearkku samaan aikaan kuin meidän. Yllätyin itsekin miten tärkeitä ne tavarat kuitenkin on, Amanda on hihkunut täällä onnesta saatuaan muumilakanat ja pomppukirahvin ja maitokin maistuu selvästi paremmalle "hatti-mukista" ( = hattivatti). Onnellista syksyn alkua teidän perheelle!
